What we Stand for
Who are the Independents and, as a new list, what was our motivation to run for election for the works council?
We are colleagues from various business and infrastructure areas at Deutsche Bank. Some have been a member of the works council for some years. Others are on this list for the first time. Together we are driven by the goal to give priority to our colleagues’ interests and put our own aside. At the same time, we’d like to leave the beaten track and use a more modern approach.
We think it’s important that the impetus for the works council should come from the workforce so that we can represent you competently, factually and with integrity.

We believe that representation doesn’t take place in “secret rooms” with a select few. This has been going on for far too long and isn’t compatible with what we consider good representation, not to mention governance. We would like to discuss issues directly with you and, via surveys and joint “round table talks”, find out what your opinions are.
The works council for the central functions consists of 27 people (since 2018). This means all agreements, negotiations etc. can be attributed to the whole committee, i.e. members of The Independents also played a part in what we have agreed in the past four years.
